Mercedes-Benz has never strayed away from defining the standard of luxury when it comes to vehicles - the all new 2027 Maybach GLS 680 proves nothing other. For this 2027 model, Mercedes has innovated the playing field for the GLS with design features not just for a luxurious vehicle, but an optimal driving experience as well. The 2027 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 is the new flagship vehicle for the covenant Mercedes-Maybach line.
Starting from the outside, Mercedes has reworked the subtle details of the vehicle offering a richer and sharper visual appeal. From the front we have an all new illuminated Maybach grille and wordmark. If thats not enough glow for your buck, the Mercedes star that sits atop the hood of the vehicle can also be illuminated as well. The headlights to the vehicle see rose gold detailing with Maybach emblems engraved into the design. Matching the chrome accents of the grill, we also find bolstering chrome rims below the vehicle with matching chrome trim around the doors and windows. Oh, the rims also feature a floating Mercedes star - so speed away and that star stays centered right in the wheel. Don’t worry about having to jump in this vehicle either as the car does feature a retracting platform for easy entry - also displaying the beautiful Maybach emblem.
Moving to the interior of the vehicle, Mercedes prioritized maximum comfort with every drive. The plush front seats of the vehicle feature an all new vibration massage programming while the executive rear seating features a massage programming that extends all the way to the calfs - a first for the Maybach GLS. Customization can also come with your new 2027 GLS 680 as Mercedes offers a Beech Brown and Macchiato Beige Maybach exclusive nappa leather in addition to a Natural Grain Walnut Wood or a High Gloss Silver Metallic mixed fabric for your seating. I think this vehicle was actually made to sleep in - I’m honestly not sure. You also find custom cushions, champagne flutes, charging panels for your phone, and a nice pair of Mercedes-Benz headphones on the inside.
The technology implemented in this vehicle isn’t short at all either featuring the MB.OS (operating system) and the latest MBUX (user interface). The tech offers specific Maybach displays, zero-layer interaction, and a virtual assistant powered by AI. This vehicle can also receive over the air updates. The 2027 GLS 680 has AIRMATIC air suspension with intelligent damper control along with E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL that Mercedes says analyzes the environment 1,000 times a second, making continuous adjustments for the best driving experience possible. The driving experience is also enhanced with ten exterior cameras, sensors, and the powerful computing technology, MB DRIVE ASSISTANT PRO, that will also have a CITY PRO feature to offer a point-to-point driving experience, even in heavy traffic.
Under the hood, the engine is built with a twin-turbo V8 engine, dawned the “M-177 Evo.” That engine pushes 603 horsepower and 627 lbs/ft of torque. Along with this powerful engine is a redesigned driving system that offers a more direct ratio bringing added engagement to the driving experience. First debuted in 2019, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS has seen constant improvement to not only the design or the feel of luxury, but to the best direct driving experience Mercedes has always prided itself on.
